Whiskey River Apartments Open up in Lawrenceburg

Flaherty & Collins Properties has finished construction of Whiskey River Apartments, a 150-unit apartment development at 500 W. High St. in Lawrenceburg. The Indianapolis-based developer scheduled a grand opening from 2-6 p.m. on Friday, July 22.

Lawrenceburg Mayor Kelly Mollaun said Whiskey River is a public-private partnership between the city, Lawrenceburg Redevelopment Commission and Flaherty & Collins and “the collaborative result of strategic long-term planning and property development that we have all been waiting for.”

Whiskey River has resort-style amenities such as a pool, lounge area, grills, a co-working lounge and a sky deck. It also will include a fitness center, a bark park, dog spa, and bike storage with bike wash and repair station.

The individual apartments will have modern finishes, LED lighting, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, washer and dryer and private balconies on most units.

Deron Kintner, general counsel and lead project developer for Flaherty & Collins, said Whiskey River has seen “a record-fast lease-up.” More than 80% of the units are leased.

The development is expected to bring new residents to the city with strong disposable income that will “make employee recruiting easier and help support the local business,” Kintner said in a news release. According to the developer, Whiskey River is expected to create an estimated economic impact of $25 million.
