Indiana ‘Back On Track’ Reopening Plan Begins May 4th

Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb released the "Back On Track" plan to reopen Indiana's economy on Friday, May 1, 2020. Visit backontrack.in.gov to view reopening principles, reopening engine, industry guidelines, timelines, and more.

The plan will continue as long as four principles are met, as informed by data:

  • The number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients statewide has decreased for 14 days;
  • The state retains its surge capacity for critical care beds and ventilators;
  • The state retains the ability to test all Hoosiers who are COVID-19 symptomatic, as well as healthcare workers, essential workers, fi rst responders, and others as delineated on the ISDH website;
  • Health officials have systems in place to contact all individuals who test positive for COVID-19 and complete contact tracing.

Phase 2 of the plan will begin on Monday, May 4 and continue through May 23. The plan will continue in five total phases, with a goal of full reopening in Indiana by July 4.

Businesses, employers and citizens should continue to do their part by following social distancing and mask usage guidelines. One Dearborn is continuing to provide online resources for local businesses on our Dearborn County COVID-19 Business Resources Webpage.
