Dillsboro Names New Town Manager


The Dillsboro Town Council at the regular meeting on Monday, February 27, appointed Kevin Turner of Dillsboro as the new Town Manager.  Turner will replace current manager Susan Greco, upon her retirement at the end of March. 

Turner began his career as a municipal servant in 1998 with the Aurora Fire Department.  He served in  law enforcement for the past 23 years, the last two years in Dillsboro.  He has held the office of Dearborn County Council since January 2019.  A graduate of South Dearborn High School, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Fire Administration.

Kevin Turner resides in Dillsboro with his wife Marisa and daughters Katelyn and Molly.  He is a member of the Dillsboro Civic Club, Dillsboro Volunteer Fire Department, Chairman of Trinity Lutheran Church, and County Council Representative to the Local Emergency Planning Committee and the Emergency Management Agency. 

When asked as to what he would envision for the Town of Dillsboro, Turner stated, “promoting Dillsboro as the perfect example of destination as a safe, fun, prosperous, culturally significant, and ready to expand into an economic force is the goal I want to achieve.  Dillsboro is my home, and I can see a wonderful bright future for it.”
