🚶‍♂️ What’s Happening in Dillsboro? 🚶‍♀️
We’re making Dillsboro more walkable and connected by upgrading and adding 1.48 miles of new sidewalks. This project improves pedestrian safety, accessibility, and connectivity, ensuring better access to businesses, parks, and neighborhoods.
🔹 Supports the 2023 Bike-Ped Master Plan
🔹 Safer intersections & crosswalks
🔹 Encourages downtown activity & small business growth
Why It Matters: Walkable communities bring people together, support local businesses, and make daily life safer and more convenient. During our community input sessions, improved and better walkable sidewalks were a major priority for the residents of Dillsboro. This project is a key step in revitalizing Dillsboro and making it a more vibrant place to live and visit.
